Favorite albums of all time..
I really intended to do this as my favorite albums of 2009, but I honestly didn’t listen to many albums that were released that year… So here’s my favorites of all time..
1 - The Beach Boys - ‘Pet Sounds’
Masterpiece. If you don’t own this album, buy it! It’s pretty much the most insanely good Pop album of all time, every song paints a picture in your mind and the harmonies are breathtaking. ‘Wouldn’t It Be Nice’ is probably the best Track 1 on any record ever. Brian Wilson, you are a genius.
2 - Wheat - ‘Per Second, Per Second, Per Second… Every Second’
This is probably the best Pop/Rock album of all time. I got into this CD pretty late to be honest. A friend gave me a copy in 2004 and I’ve been hooked ever since. ‘I Met A Girl’ is one of the best pop songs of all time, and the album just grows in strength the more you listen to it. The music is insanely good, the lyrics are breathtaking at times and it’s just a really feel good album. I highly recommend this to anyone, anywhere!
3 - Days Away - ‘Mapping An Invisible World’
How did this record not become the biggest album ever? For some reason Fueled By Ramen did nothing with this album and it still annoys me to this day. Mapping An Invisible World is basically the album that made me realise there was alot more to music and to Pop/Punk. They started as a Pop/Punk band but then went away and wrote the most powerful, beautiful and stunning album that I still listen to constantly. You need this album in your life.
