Pros: I am lucky in the sense I work for great people. Everyone at Kitemco/Merch For Life (YMAS) and Firebrand (KIGH) are amazing people as merch companies, and the bands themselves are all great people. I’ve known KIGH for 4 years now, so we’re pretty close, YMAS nearly 2 years.
It’s a great way to see the world, and it’s a great job when it’s going right and everyone is happy.
Cons: Being away from home. I was away for nearly 11 months last year. It’s hard to keep relationships and friendships at home. I’ve messed up the best relationship I could ever hope for by doing what I do. I’ve missed weddings too. At the moment my family is hurting with some stuff going on, but my job means I travel and work away all the time. It pulls at the heartstrings alot. I miss being home but I’m so used to being away all the time.
